Dates: May 30th and May 31st

 

Format: Four-Ball Match Play / Five (5) Nine-Hole Matches

  • Each team will be flighted according to the USGA combined handicap indexes of both members. Each flight will consist of six (6) teams with each team playing five (5) matches against all other teams in the flight. The winner of each flight will compete in the shootout on Saturday to crown the champions. Each player will receive 90% of his handicap. If partners have more than an eight (8) shot difference in their handicap, the higher handicap player will be adjusted down to be within the 8-shot limit. 

 

Scoring

  • Each team will be awarded one (1) point for winning a hole, a half (1/2) point for tying a hole and zero (0) points for losing a hole. In the event a team is unable to play a match, their opponents play against par. If a team withdraws during a match, they will receive zero (0) points for that match, their opponents will play against par for the remainder of the match. 

 

Championship Shootout

 

Format: Foursome Stroke Play (Alternate Shot - Alternate Tees)

  • One team member will hit his drive on the first shootout hole. The other player will play the second shot. Partners play alternately until the ball is hole. For those teams advancing, on the next tee the second team member will tee off and partners will play alternately. The alternating of tees will continue throughout the shootout process.

 

Four (4) holes of alternate shot will be played among our eight (8) Flight Winners and (1) Wildcard team. The four holes used will be #1, #7, #8 and #9. Teams will be eliminated from the shootout as follows.

  • Hole #1 - Two (2) teams eliminated
  • Hole #7 - Two (2) teams eliminated
  • Hole #8 - Two (2) teams eliminated
  • Hole #9 - Two (2) teams eliminated - Overall Champions Awarded

 

Handicaps

  • Each team will receive 50% of their combined course handicaps. Strokes will be given as they fall on the card if the match were 18 holes

Ties

  • Any ties on the first playoff hole will be decided by a chip-off from a predetermined spot. Both players chip, with only the closest shot counting. The chip-off winners will advance to the next hole. Any ties on the final playoff hole will be decided by the final teams playing #9 until the tie is broken.
